Is a Polymarket promo code the same as a referral code?

They overlap. Most of what gets called a 'promo code' for Polymarket is really the referral program, and any bonus tied to it is typically attached to a link rather than a code you type in manually.

Do old Polymarket promo codes still work?

Not reliably. Sign-up promotions on Polymarket have changed more than once in 2026, so a code or offer posted on an older article may no longer be valid. Always verify against the current Referrals or Promotions section in your account.

Is There a Polymarket Promo Code? What's Actually Live in 2026

Q: Is there a Polymarket promo code right now?

Polymarket occasionally runs limited-time sign-up incentives, sometimes tied to a specific code entered at registration and sometimes built directly into a referral link. Because these promotions start and stop, the safest way to confirm what's currently active is to check the platform directly or use an up-to-date referral link rather than relying on a code you found on an older page.

Searches for a "Polymarket promo code" spike whenever the platform runs a new sign-up incentive. Here's how to tell what's real, what's outdated, and how to claim whatever is currently active.

Why "promo code" searches are so volatile

Unlike a fixed, always-on referral rate, Polymarket's sign-up incentives have changed shape more than once in 2026: sometimes a flat credit tied to a deposit, sometimes a boosted referral rate for a limited window. That's why search volume for this exact term spikes and drops sharply from month to month: people are chasing whatever promotion is live at that moment, and articles written during an earlier promotion go stale fast.

How to tell if a promo code is still valid

Check the date on any article claiming to have current promo details; if it's more than a month or two old, treat it as unverified
Go directly to Polymarket's own Promotions or Referrals section in your account for the live offer
Be skeptical of codes shared on forums or social media with no source: most "promo codes" for prediction markets are really just someone's referral link rewritten as a code

Promo code vs referral program

In practice, most of what gets called a Polymarket promo code is the referral program by another name. Instead of typing in a discount code at checkout the way you would on a retail site, you sign up through a link that carries the offer automatically. If a specific deposit-linked bonus is active when you sign up, it will show up during onboarding. See our referral code breakdown for how the ongoing commission structure works separately from any one-time promo.

How to claim whatever's currently active

Use an active, current referral link rather than a code copied from an old article.
Complete signup and any required identity verification.
Check the Promotions or Referrals tab in your account for anything currently running.
Follow any deposit or activity requirement listed for that specific promotion.
